Roosevelt House deeply mourns the loss of our extraordinary alumna, Eva Kastan Grove ’58, a cherished friend to Hunter College. Eva’s involvement at Hunter reflected her deep commitment to social justice and helping immigrants. Her transformative philanthropy included supporting Hunter’s Immigrant Student Success Center for students who are first-generation Americans or immigrants, as she was herself, and the Eva Kastan Grove Fellowship Program, which provides experiential learning in civic engagement. In all that she did, Eva lived Hunter’s motto, “mihi cura futuri,” the care of the future is mine. We will miss her greatly. Our heartfelt condolences to our dear Board of Advisors member Robie Livingstone and her family, and to Karen Grove and her family.
